Good to know.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Conversion runs locally in your browser. Closing the page clears the working files.

What does 100% JPG quality mean?

ByeHEIC defaults to the highest JPG quality setting. JPG still uses compression, so “100%” means maximum encoder quality, not a mathematically lossless copy.

Can I save the JPG to iPhone Photos?

Yes. Tap “Save to Photos” after converting, then choose “Save Image” in the iPhone share sheet. Apple requires that final tap, so websites cannot silently add photos to your library.

Why did a photo fail?

Some HEIC variants contain unsupported codecs. Exporting the photo again from Apple Photos usually resolves it.
